Induction Heating - Article Information
Supreme Spring identified that a risk prevails in having only one heating source, which is a gas furnace, in the Stabilizer plant. Breakdowns on this heating furnace translates into the entire plant halting. A decision was made to invest in an Induction heating line as alternative to the gas furnace. Supreme Spring selected LH Power as preferred supplier.
The advantages of having induction heating as alternative to gas heating are:
- Less scale formation on bars.
- Less scale leads to improved tool Life.
- No energy consumption during a change over.
- A back-up to the gas furnace.
The project will be completed in March 2012.
